Bideford Mayor opens The Grange new homes development
16 February 2023The Mayor of Bideford joined West Country housebuilder Devonshire Homes to celebrate the official opening of its latest North Devon site, The Grange.
Cllr Jude Gubb cut the ceremonial ribbon at Devonshire Homes’ Bideford development off Manteo Way in East-the-Water. Local businesses, key stakeholders, partners, and Devonshire Homes’ Charity of the Year, South West Blood Bikes, were all in attendance at the special reception at which guests had the first opportunity to look around the two brand new show homes.
The launch event gave attendees the perfect opportunity to witness Devonshire Homes’ high-quality build first-hand in addition to finding out more about the range of new homes coming to Bideford and schemes which help local house hunters step on or move up the property ladder.
Construction is well underway at The Grange, off Manteo Way, and Devonshire Homes has already experienced a significant level of interest from home buyers looking to move to Bideford. Ultimately, The Grange will be a collection of 225 new homes with one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes available, some of which will come under Devonshire Homes’ affordable homes contribution.
Councillor Mrs Jude Gubb, Mayor of Bideford, commented: “We are excited about the prospect of having homes for local people, and affordable housing. There will be choices for the people of Bideford.”
Sales Executives Charlotte Varcoe and Alina Hammond are now based on site to assist home buyers, helping them find their next home whilst providing more information on the schemes and incentives available.
