At Devonshire Homes, we believe moving should feel exciting, not overwhelming. That’s why we created Devonshire Move – a scheme designed to take the pressure out of selling your existing home so you can focus on the next chapter.
The Devonshire Move scheme was launched in 2018 and has been designed to help sell your existing home whilst securing your desired Devonshire Homes plot for up to four weeks. You could even save thousands with your estate agent’s fees covered!* With the pressure lifted, you can concentrate on your future instead of juggling sales stress.
How does the Devonshire Move scheme work?
So, you’ve found your dream home with us and are keen to use the Devonshire Move scheme to sell your existing property. What happens next? We will instruct two valuations by estate agents local to your property, or you can recommend your preferred agent. We will ask them each to carry out a valuation of your home and suggest a market value.
We supply you with this on-market price and once you accept, we will take your chosen Devonshire Homes property off the market for a maximum of four weeks. The estate agent will be instructed, and we will monitor advertising and viewings on a weekly basis.
You may complete the reservation of your Devonshire Homes property once you have accepted an offer from a buyer with a complete chain in place within that four-week period. The estate agent will be paid by us upon completion*.
What are the Devonshire Move terms and conditions?
There are just a few things to bear in mind when using our Devonshire Move scheme:
- Devonshire Move is only available on selected plots. Please speak to the Sales Executive at your desired development for more details.
- The scheme is only applicable to the purchaser’s main residence.
- If, once sold subject to contract, the chain breaks, the situation will be reviewed and a decision made as to whether we can extend the scheme.
- If your existing property is being marketed via Devonshire Move, other promotional offers may not be applicable or available to you at the same time.
- The use of Devonshire Move is subject to valuation survey and approval by Devonshire Homes.
