2 January 2019Rivel’s Green, Devonshire Homes’ Cullompton site which has recently reached completion, has been incredibly popular. Simon Read, 50, has lived in his home at Rivel’s Green since July 2017 and says he could not be happier in his two bedroom Laurel house.
“I first started to look for a new home at Rivel’s Green as the site was in a great location” said Simon. “I work as a Senior Paralegal in Exeter and Rivel’s Green is just off the M5 so it’s in a really handy location for me. The homes were very well priced compared to similar properties in Exeter and Devonshire Homes offered a very good quality of build, finish and a great range of items included as standard.”
Living on his own, the Laurel suited Simon’s needs to a tee.
“My home has the benefit of two very well-proportioned bedrooms and a large bathroom” continued Simon. “It’s perfect for one person but the second bedroom is of a good size, so I can comfortably have friends and family come and stay. I even have room for a home office. My home is easy to heat and maintain and has plenty of storage space. Outside, I’ve also got a small but useful sunny garden area which I have now converted into a patio and planted courtyard for additional outside space. Overall, I’d have to say that my favourite part of the property is the sunny south facing master bedroom and the luxury modern bathroom.”
Having lived in Devon for three years previously, Simon was attracted to the local area of Cullompton.
“Cullompton is great as a small market town with pretty rural lanes leading out of the town” said Simon. “The location of Rivel’s Green though, just off the M5 at junction 28, avoids the town centre delays which is extremely handy. We also have great road links to Honiton and East Devon.”
For many prospective home owners, it’s not just about how their property looks but how the neighbourhood as a whole looks and feels. Simon was really impressed by Rivel’s Green when he first visited.
“Rivel’s Green is attractively laid out and has a very open feel” said Simon. “Some properties, including mine, feature a very nice half brick and half render exterior in pretty pink/orange colours.”
