Stylish new homes coming to Ilfracombe
16 November 2022A collection of 347 high-quality new build homes are coming to Ilfracombe, from award-winning independent West Country housebuilder Devonshire Homes.
The housebuilder has exchanged contracts for the acquisition of land in Ilfracombe to create a collection of desirable new build homes in a stunning setting. Planning permission for the land has previously been granted and the construction of the private and affordable homes, is due to start in early 2023.
Located off Old Barnstaple Road, the land with spectacular view across the sea and stunning open countryside, will be transformed to offer 309 open market homes and 38 affordable homes; comprising one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses.
This development in Ilfracombe is the multi award-winning housebuilder’s third site in North Devon.
Devonshire Homes will contribute to the local community under the S106 agreement in the following ways: providing sports pitches, a MUGA (multi-use games area), LEAP (local equipment area for play), LAPS (local area for play) and open space. Land will also be provided for a school and community facility to be built. The overall Section 106 financial contributions to be made for the scheme will total over £2,000,000 after indexation for the following:

- Community building on site
- Education
- Healthcare
- Highway
- Youth Services
