Devonshire Homes donates a further £1,350 to the Blood Bikes
9 June 2023We’re pleased to announce that Devonshire Homes has donated a further £1,350 to our charities of the year!
The South West Blood Bikes and the Cornwall Blood Bikes have received £675 each, bringing the total amount raised so far for each charity up to £2,650. Sales and Marketing Director Jane Pearce was pleased to meet the South West Blood Bikes team at our Bovey Tracey site, Longston Cross, to deliver the news, and Sales Manager Doug Wright presented Cornwall Blood Bikes with their cheque at Five Lanes Close in Altarnun.
We raise funds for these two fantastic charities through the sales of our new build homes. For every open market house sold during the year, Devonshire Homes donates £25 to each charity. Devonshire Homes’ staff also show their support by hosting and taking part in a variety of fundraising events, including our upcoming Charity Golf Day.
The funds will help support the South West Blood Bikes and Cornwall Blood Bikes life-saving service. Volunteer bikers use their advanced motorcycle skills to provide an ‘out of hours’ service to NHS partners, transporting essential urgent supplies such as whole blood, pathology samples, medication, medical equipment, medical notes, and donor breast milk to NHS hospitals and hospices throughout Devon and Cornwall.
