Devonshire Homes celebrates New Homes Week by supporting communities
19 February 2025As proud members of the Home Builders Federation, we are celebrating New Homes Week with a focus on community. Beyond constructing high-quality homes, we are dedicated to building neighbourhoods and actively supporting charities and local groups across the region.
Making a difference in our communities
- We believe that a strong community is the foundation of a great neighbourhood. That is why we take the opportunity to contribute to the areas where we build. Here are just a few ways we have been making a difference:
- Becoming an active part of the close-knit community at Halwill Junction by opening our site at Chilla Junction and supporting local initiatives, including donations to the Village Hall and Football Club.
- Supporting a local school’s theatre production and invited children for a site tour of Mariner’s Haven, Ilfracombe. Work has also begun on a new sports hub and community space.
- Contributing to local charity The Balsam Centre and Wincanton FC, near our site at Dancing Green, Somerset, reinforcing our commitment to community well-being.
- We are also very proud to support Churches Housing Action Team Ltd (CHAT) as our Charity of the Year by providing food and financial donations to help those facing housing insecurity and financial struggles.
Ongoing community involvement
Our team is committed to taking part in events and initiatives that make a real impact. Throughout the year, we are involved in charity activities such as the Michelmores 5K Charity Run in support of FearFree and Hospiscare’s Christmas Tree Recycling Campaign, helping to raise funds for vital services.
Devonshire Homes understand that building homes goes beyond bricks and mortar – it is about creating spaces where people feel connected and supported. Keep following our channels for updates on how we continue to engage with our communities and make a difference.
