All Sold! Amberside homes snapped up in Axminster

20 April 2016

The For Sale signs have all come down at Devonshire Homes’ Amberside site in Axminster with the final purchasers exchanging contracts ahead of completion.

The 71 properties, including one and two bedroom apartments, and three and four bedroom homes have been constructed on the former football ground of the Axminster Tigers and have proved popular with local housebuyers.

This was the first development in Axminster for Devonshire Homes and has proved to be a very successful scheme which did attract a lot of local purchasers including first Time Buyers using Help To Buy; one young couple bought through HTB as her family (back to grandparents) lived in Axminster and wanted to remain in the town, they have now gone on to have a baby! We also had members of the same family buying.

“From the outset, there has been keen interest in the properties at Amberside,”

said Jane Pearce, Sales and Marketing Director of Devonshire Homes.

“This has been borne out by the homes being sold so quickly. Purchasers appreciated the setting close to the town and the different types of property on offer have meant there really has been something for everyone.”

As the sales office at Amberside closes its doors, so the Devonshire Homes other developments are starting construction and the company are taking expressions of interest. These include schemes at Cullompton, Chulmleigh and Pilton near Barnstaple. Others, at Bovey Tracey and Crediton will follow in the next few months.
