Meet Stacey, our Sales Executive at Gwallon Keas, St. Austell
3 December 2019Down at our St. Austell site, Gwallon Keas, Sales Executives Stacey and Catherine continue to welcome an abundance of house hunters through the doors of our new marketing suite daily. As a collection of 190 new homes, this is one of our busiest sites! We managed to catch Stacey for a quick chat on how she began her career in the housing and construction industry and what she loves about her current position at Devonshire Homes:
Hi Stacey! Tell us about your background in the housing and construction industry…
I’ve been in the industry for a few years now - from conveyancing to sales - and even buying my own new build home. I left one of the large PLC companies to join the Devonshire Homes family and I’m excited to be building my career within the industry.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in the industry?
As a whole, the housebuilding industry has always interested me. My dad was in the construction industry from a young age until he retired. It was a common sight in our house to see housing plans sprawled across the dining room table and I was fascinated!
What stands out for you about Devonshire Homes?
Devonshire Homes don’t just treat their customers as a number. It truly is about the customer journey and I believe that is how it should be. I love the quality and finish of our build which is truly stunning.
What do you enjoy most about being a Sales Executive at Gwallon Keas?
I love meeting new people at various stages of their new home journey. Sometimes, house hunters don’t realise what they can actually afford and when I explain the process and the financial side to them, they are over the moon! I’m with our customers every step of the way, right up until completion. Buying a home can be stressful and I want to make sure that I do everything I can to make the process smoother, therefore less stressful. It’s also fantastic to be working with a site team who are equally proud of the homes that they are building for our customers!
