Last chance to benefit from pre show home prices at Devonshire Homes’ popular Kingsbridge site, Applegate Park

1 February 2021

Kingsbridge house hunters have one last chance to benefit from pre show home prices at Devonshire Homes’ Kingsbridge site, Applegate Park.

Since its launch in October 2020, Applegate Park has grabbed the attention of local house hunters and relocators looking to move to this sought-after part of the South Hams. With the Marketing Suite opening in March and the show home following imminently, the reduced prices won’t be around for long.

For first time buyers looking for an extra helping hand onto the property ladder, Devonshire Homes has revealed that the new Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme can be used to reserve a three bedroom property at Applegate Park, subject to eligibility, terms and conditions. A number of changes to the scheme have been made this year, but house hunters can still benefit from reserving the Dartington house style with as little as a 5% deposit.

Now only available to first time buyers, the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme is exclusively for use on new build homes. To be eligible, all parties buying the home must not have owned a home or residential land previously and not have had any form of sharia mortgage finance. Future homeowners can use the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme to reserve a Devonshire Homes property by depositing 5% of the market value. The Government will contribute 20% through an equity loan and customers will secure a mortgage for the remaining 75%.

Homes that qualify for the new Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme are subject to a regional price cap. In the South West, house hunters can reserve a home worth up to £349,000 using the scheme. The three bedroom Dartington on plots 9 and 10 at Applegate Park falls within the Help to Buy Equity Loan price cap, so first time buyers could reserve this house style with a deposit of £17,200.

Located in a beautiful area of Kingsbridge, the Dartington is a stylish three bedroom home offering plenty of space for a couple or relocator. On the ground floor, future homeowners will enjoy a separate kitchen which features high-quality integrated appliances and a tiled floor included within the price. The hallway leads through to the open plan living / dining area which will quickly become the heart of the home. Built with sociable living in mind, this space allows for a dining table and chairs in addition to comfy sofas and a stylish coffee table. French doors leading out onto the rear garden flood the room with natural light, perfect for throwing open on a warm summer’s day. The Dartington also benefits from two store cupboards and a handy cloakroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs, first time buyers will discover three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom is a particular gem as it features a luxury en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobes included within the price.

The Dartington house is priced from £344,000 with the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme available.

Jane Pearce, Joint Acting Managing Director at Devonshire Homes, commented:

“If you’re looking for a high-quality new build home in Kingsbridge, then I encourage you to contact our Sales Executives as soon as possible so that you can reserve your dream home at a pre show home price. We are set to open our Marketing Suite in March, so you don’t have long! Whilst the national lockdown rules are currently in place, we are encouraging house hunters to book an appointment via a video or phone call, but we look forward to welcoming house hunters into the Marketing Suite soon.”

Jane continued: “If you’re a first time buyer interested in reserving a new home at Applegate Park, now is the perfect time. Not only will you benefit from pre show home prices, but you can also use the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme to reserve your dream home. We only have a couple of properties at this site which will qualify for the scheme, so I urge those who are interested to contact our Sales Executives as soon as possible to find out more.”

LiveWest is working in partnership with Devonshire Homes and this is the second collaboration between both organisations to deliver open market and affordable homes. LiveWest is the largest housing association in the South West, managing nearly 37,000 homes to more than 70,000 customers across the region.

Located immediately North of Buckwell Close and is nearby to the A381 linking Dartmouth and Totnes, Applegate Park is well connected to the town itself which boasts plenty of amenities including two superstores, a leisure centre, restaurants and pubs. Kingsbridge has schooling for all ages with the closest being Kingsbridge Community Primary School and Kingsbridge Community College. Properties at Applegate Park are only a short distance away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the South Hams, including Hope Cove and Salcombe.

For more information on the new homes available and to reserve, please call Sales Executive Fiona Jardine on 01548 800807 or email applegatepark@devonshirehomes.co.uk to arrange a virtual or face-to-face appointment. Applegate Park is open for enquiries from Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm.
