Happy Anniversary
4 February 2022At Devonshire Homes, we are immensely proud of our team. They are a dedicated and resilient bunch, but also experienced and loyal. Our team currently hold over 300 years of experience in working for Devonshire Homes, and we value this knowledge and expertise which helps us to build the homes and communities that people really want to live in.
Today, we are delighted to recognise the commitment and loyalty of four members of our team and congratulate Andy Smith, James Cleverley, Simon Howarth and Owen O’Callaghan who are all celebrating milestone anniversaries this year with Devonshire Homes. Together, they are celebrating over 70 years with us!
Andy Smith, our Senior Site Manager, is celebrating 25 years at Devonshire Homes. In a recent Q&A, Andy commented: “The thing I enjoy most about working at Devonshire Homes is that I get to work with a good bunch of people. I enjoy all aspects of construction and the opportunity to build a product we can all be proud of.”
Another Site Manager who is also celebrating 25 years is James Cleverley. James originally joined Devonshire Homes as a Carpenter/Joiner and today is part of the management team at our busy Bovey Tracey site, Longston Cross. Here, we are building 159 new build homes.
Celebrating 10 years at Devonshire Homes is Financial Director Owen O’Callaghan and Managing Surveyor Simon Howarth, both an integral part of the Devonshire Homes team.
Owen O’Callaghan commented: “An anniversary like this does give an opportunity for reflection and looking back over the last decade it certainly has been an exciting, rewarding, as well as a challenging time. Along the way, it’s been my pleasure to work with excellent colleagues, partners and suppliers, and I look forward to the opportunities ahead and a bright future with Devonshire Homes.”
Angus Cook, Managing Director at Devonshire Homes, commented:
“I’d like to personally offer my congratulations to Andy, James, Simon and Owen on their milestone work anniversaries. I’m immensely proud to work alongside a team that has delivered a period of steady growth, increased our headcount and created multiple new communities across the region.”
Thank you Andy, James, Simon and Owen and we look forward to celebrating many more work anniversaries in the years to come.
